Southern Lights Brewing is a must-visit brewery in Pinellas County that offers great beer, good company, and cool artwork that continuously rotates from Kirby’s, one of the owners, collection. When you first walk in, it is hard not to miss the amazing bar top that was made exclusively for Southern Lights by the very talented Heath. Make sure you tell him how awesome it is – you’ll most likely see him at the corner of the bar or playing the Primus pin ball machine.

Three beer loving owners founded Southern Lights Brewing in 2015 and have gained inspiration by traveling not only in the United States, but also by visiting different areas of Europe and the UK. If you need even more reasons to visit besides what is already listed, Southern Lights Brewing won ‘Best Small Brewery’, Battle Pug Smoked Porter won ‘Best of Show’ and ‘Best Smoked Beer’, and Spargent Pepper Saison won ‘Best Saison or Wild Beer’ in the Best Florida Beer competition.

Some of our favorites are (but really, all of their beer is delicious) – the Smoked Porter, the classic Belgian Tripel, the traditional German Pilsner and the dark German wheat beer, Dunkelweis.

Southern Lights Brewing Co has ample indoor seating, arcade games and pin ball machines, board games, and a large outside seating area. You can bring your own food or have something delivered – since they currently do not offer a regular inhouse food menu or food trucks. Dogs are allowed on the patio and children are okay if on a leash (we are only half kidding, parents).
